Translator since 1997. I was born in Vigo (Spain) where I lived, studied and worked until 2005. Since then, I have lived and worked in the United Kingdom with frequent stays in Spain, Ireland and Germany. I have been working as a translator and interpreter in Courts, Police, hospitals, solicitors, job centres and other organisations all over Scotland as well as private businesses and Translation Agencies nationwide and worldwide since 2008. I worked in similar fields in Spain from 1997 to 2004. From 2004 to 2008 I was more focused on business, marketing and logistics.

I have worked as a bilingual salesman in the Roofing Market for different companies from 2004 to 2011. All these companies distribute and sell Spanish slates to mid-large companies in the British and Irish markets. My key roles have been
· Purchases from Spain, together with marketing and logistics regarding deliveries in the UK and Ireland from Spain.
· Dealing with the whole sales process: procurement of goods, sales, deliveries and payment collection.
· Negotiator to get better deals using not only my bilingual communication skills but also my understanding of the different cultures involved.
· Developing new technical leaflets and other marketing materials like websites for different companies working with us.
Teacher from 1997-2004 in Spain, teaching English for children, adults and businesses.
• Private Tutor, for students preparing the O-Levels and A-Levels. 1997-2004. For adults 1998-2004, and for businesses (DonPulpo, June 2003-2005) in Vigo-Spain.
• Academy Teacher, (PT job), in several Academies in Vigo-Spain (Cescar, Ada, Salgado, Aristos II, Thema), 1998-2002.
• C.A.P. Teacher, this is a compulsory practical training course to become a State Teacher in Spain. Theory in Santiago de Compostela University. Practice done in 'Val Miñor' High School, Nigrán (1997 Spain). CAP: Course of Pedagogical Aptitude, equivalent to Probation teacher in the UK (PGCE).
From 2008 to 2010, teaching Spanish for children and adults as well as organising courses in Spanish and French for children and adults in the UK. From 2017, I have been a DipTrans Tutor preparing candidates for the exams in order to get the CIOL Diploma in Translation (English into Spanish).

• Degree in English Language and Literature (English Philology), University of Santiago de Compostela, 1991-1996, Spain. 5 years degree. BA. In addition to that, the PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) in 1997 in the same university.
